Thread Lifts on the Gold Coast
What are Thread Lifts?
Surgical facelifts are no longer the sole option for reshaping and lifting faces. In addition to neuromodulators like anti wrinkle injections that help relax hyperactive muscles and dermal fillers that add volume and tighten loose skin. Now there is something called thread lifts which are becoming very popular.
Thread lifts are also referred to as suture lifts – a process that uses threads (made from the same material used to close wounds in surgery). In the thread lift process, they are placed under the skin and are used to add volume and suspend specific areas of the skin that are either saggy or loose.
The threads hold the skin in position and add a supportive structure that challenges the effects of aging and gravity.
What are the Benefits?
Thread lifts are convenient facial rejuvenation alternative to conventional plastic surgery that gives immediate results. Unlike plastic surgery no general anesthesia, long recovery periods or hospitalisation is required.
The benefits of a thread lifts include lifting and forming long lasting results that can last anywhere from 1.5 to 2 years, depending on the type of thread used. Thread lifts are an excellent choice for people between the ages of 30 to 60 years, because gentle drooping may be visible, but collagen deposits are still able to regenerate.
What does thread lifting accomplish?
Thread lifts can be a great way to revive youthful curves to areas like the cheeks, brows, cheeks, neck, and jowls.
They are not considered a substitute to full facelifts that focus on removing excess loose skin, but they are an ideal choice for patients who want a more natural facial enhancement without the stress of surgery.
The threads are undetectable, although they can sometimes be felt with the fingers in some places for a few weeks after the procedure. In some cases, patients feel a bit of discomfort including minor aches or sensation when smiling or eating, but this resolves 1-2 weeks.
Bruising, swelling and dimpling are normal in the first few days, but this improves quickly while the threads are absorbed. The cuts that are made for entering the threads are tiny and heal without using ugly stitches.
Thread Lift Costs
The costs for thread lifts varies, as it depends on the area that needs to be treated and what work is required. The thread lift costs from $1,700 depending on the amount of threads required.
