Brow Lift

A brow lift, or forehead lift, fixes the minimisation of volume that is generated by hooding of the upper eyelid or sagging of your eyebrows. A brow lift normally softens the rooted creases that cover your forehead. The procedure minimises the frown lines that sit above your nose and the lines in the middle of your eyebrows. The result after the brow lift is a rejuvenated look.

The lift is normally done at the same time as a facial rejuvenation or facelift. Some patients have genetic traits passed on to them that sway them to have a brow lift in their early 20s.

What to expect

One technique for performing a brow lift requires an incision across the top of the scalp, beginning above your ears. The incision may be placed toward the middle of the scalp where it is hidden within your hair or at the front of the hairline. Through this incision, your plastic surgeon can modify or remove parts of the muscles that cause wrinkling or grown lines, remove excess skin and lift your eyebrows to a more pleasing position.

Most patients are perfect candidates for an endoscopic brow lift. The procedure is a minimally invasive method that requires multiple slight incisions into the scalp. The endoscope is injected through these tiny incisions, allow your plastic surgeon to see and work on the various internal structures of the forehead.

After the brow lift, you will have limited discolouration and puffiness that can go to your cheek and eyelid areas. You may also experience itchiness on your scalp as well as some hair loss around the scar area.
